Hey guys. I was wondering can I put together a custom Turbo kit including intercooler for under $1500? Products from a used 3sgte (turbo, oil pan, manifold, supra injectors, map sensor) And the others like boost controller, gauges, BOV, intercooler will be aftermarket products (greddy, HKS, Blitz, ETC)

Ur running stock exhaust rite? If you drop a Turbo into your engine right now, you'll end up hurting your Turbo because your exhaust wont allow Turbo to spool up like they want...Instead, with stock exhaust, back pressure will kill it..

Boost controller->I think HKS or BLITz make pretty good ones...if you buy it new... boost controller will cost you somewhere from 500-800 depending on the model. If you can find a used one... you can get it for like 300 or less...

blow off... intercooler... those are cheap... but I think for 1500, you are still dreaming about Turbo.

Should I just go with the burien toyota Turbo kit? I'm also going to upgrade my exhaust. 2000 is the most I can spend on a Turbo. The Turbo kit is 2500 maybe 3000 installed and that is kind of pricey. But if its worth it then I will get it. If the Turbo can get me to high 14's or better then I will get it. other wise I'll just stick with simple bolt ons (intake, headers,Exhaust, CPU chip upgrade?,) get me low 15's.

man these guys are hard. If you are serious about getting a Turbo then if i were you i would save about 2 more grand and purchase a SF Turbo kit @www.staffordfabrication.com

It will be more safe and you prolly do not know half as much as they do about those products. Thats just my opinion.

Yeah, dont half ass a Turbo kit, it would cost you 3 times as much in the long run. If you really want a Turbo do it right the first time. Oh and you will be a lot faster than high 14s wink

^^ when done correctly smile F/I is never something you want to do half a$$ed.

If you do you will hate your car and eventually sell it and feel like you just wasted a butt load of money for nothing.

Ok if a the burien toyota Turbo will get me faster than 14's I will surely get it including and intercooler. and try to save for tuning to 8-10 PSI. Maybe upgrade the pistons and rods (75000 mile 5sfe motor).
