im about to pur subs in my celica. how do you run a 2 gauge wire from the battery to the trunk. is the only way to drill a hole through the fire wall? or is there another way and is there a thread about this on the site.

there is a rubber groumet. .. get a flashlight, and look under the streerling wheel.. its towards the right. . you will see other wires comming though. .. use a coat hanger. . . have fun smile

its a big enough hole for a 2 gauge wire

just don't get too close with other wires, you may cause a fire...

3000 watt, you may need a 0/1 gauge instead

Ok its 3000watts max not rms. 2 gauge should work cause after you can plit it into a 4 gauge for the the sub amp and a 4 gauge for a multi channel or 2 8s for some 2 channels. 0 gauge is for like multiple sub amps.

if youre that serious and plan on using that much power or if you'e gonna do some kinda SPL challenge I suggest doing this...

1) ugrade your alternator
2) run 0-1 gauge wire (ducttape the whole wire)
3) add a second batt in the back
4) wire up a couple caps 2 per amp would be More then enough
5) run 2 gauge to the amps smile
6) make sure your highs can keep up with your bass. other wise you'll have a ghetto mobile.


also remember to keep the power lines as far away from the speaker lines as possible. smile thumbsup and post some pics when youre done wink

I ran mine with the brake lines from the battery through to the trunk, cut a slit in the rubber stopper in the bottom of the trunk & ran it up through. thumbsup
