Hey,

When I first got my car, (back in march) I could cirp the tires right as soon as i shifted into 2nd.

Now I can't do that anymore, and I think it feels a little slower.

Is it cause I am using 17" rims now?

Or do i need to clean my MAF, or is there something else I need to check. Its got about 47,000 miles. I always run 93 or 94 octane gas.

you 17's will do it if they are heavy..other than that, it wouldn't matter

True. the 17"'s don't help at all. Furthermore, it could be your clutch...mine died on me and that sucked...

Do your lift bolts, MAF & then see. They should be done anyway.

cant be ur lift bolts, cz even if ur shifting at high rpms quick you will chirp even if the car didnt have lift. i chirp on pos hondas civics when i shift them quick and i dont even rev them higher than 6500 rpm probably.
im guessing something with ur rims or tires, ur tires are worn out probably and thats why they dont have too much grip to chirp?

your tires are probably wearing down and spinning withought chirping.

i suggest you learn to shift w/o chirping the tires. you'll be a bit faster that way
