I ran into Food Lion earlier to get some groceries and I come out to the sight of a shopping cart in the bumper. I guess it rolled into it and slammed it. The right side rear right where the bumper meets the frame is all scratched up because its plastic and the fender right above it has a nice little dent. Im planning on fixing it myself and i was wondering where can i get the aproppriate paint color to match my body, i've got the 2000 gts in Silver Mica i think they call it

If that happend in the lot of the store i believe they are at fault. Ive heard of this happening to other people and they got the store to pay for it. Too late now tho you left the lot.

you might wanna try talking to a manager at the food lion about what happened. I know that where i work (Kings Supermarket) they will pay for the damge done by the cart. I know a customer that had $800 paid for her car because of a dent in the door. It prevented the door from opening and they had to replace an entire piece of her car. Anyways, its worth the effort and you can still fix the car yourself. If you do it yourself you might be able to make some money off of it.

wow that kinda suprises me, most stores cant be held liable for damages in the parking lot.

Midland Park, New Jersey, its in Bergen County, and we cant be held liable but since Kings is such a sucky store and we make no money its company policy to just pay it. They figure that it helps our business.

The shopping car f'ed you? Really? How? Did it buy you flowers, take you out, hold your hand, and put on some soft music first. Or was it all like "yo, I'm gonna dry-hump you t'nite beee-hatch!"

But, seriously: sucks. big time. I actually caught a dumb ass letting go of her trolly, and just watching it roll towards my car. I ran over, cought the cart before it hit my car, and got so mad 3 other people stepped inn between me and the bitch who didn't care if the cart was hitting my car or not. I think it was the general screaming of threats about killing her and her family right there and then that got everyone's attention. And the determination in my eyes that got them thinking "we should do something".

As I've said to so many people before, asking why I'm so hysterical about my car: Think of how much you love your own childer. THAT'S how much I love my car. How would you feel if you saw some one slam a car door so hard into your kids head that they got a bump? Or scarred them?

My car is my life. Leave it well alone.
