you will be fine without it, but you should also call your toyota dealer and find out how much a new one is.

depends on which piece.. but it is designed to keep water and dirt out of your car. I would suggest either replacing it or ghetto rigging the old one to stay in place

I would look into getting a new piece. They usually aren't to expensive but help to protect (as said above).

all the dealerships in southern california pretty much wanted 200 dollars for all 3 pieces, the right, center and left.

The same thing happened to me. I got my oil changed at a dealer and they must not have put all the screws in because it broke loose too. It was only holding on by one screw. I managed to save it and had the dealer replace it for me but I almost lost it. They don't seem to important but there is a reason for them.

It is like $80 for just the small center piece. What the hell is up with that. I just ghettoed mine, I figured no one will see it anyway.

Good luck

hmm, mine didn't fall off..but i got my oil changed at a valvoline place and they took it off to change the oil and the guy told me that it really isn't needed (BUT WHAT DOES HE KNOW) and said if i keep it off i will be able to get the oil changed faster. after i left and went to work i thought about ti and realized i shoulda told him to put it back on there. like stated b4..it's obviously there for a reason..but it was too late for me to go back and get it. damn me!!
