English?????? Superchargers are more reliable than Turbos. The TRD supercharger is very reliable since it has boost set at such a low setting and has a warranty but it is not out for the celica yet and I believe the blitz supercharger for the GTS is reliable too but is expensive. I know the trd supercharger makes noise only with an Intake, but man is it a sweet sound. Without the Intake I think you can barely hear it.

OAS, I take it you are referring to the TRD supercharger...my knowledge of it is that its backed by TRD, and nobody really has it on the celica because it doesn't fit without the TD supercharger hood. It costs around $2500 over here and only gives around 40 hp, which is not worth it. A Turbocharger sounds like it is hissing like a snake when it spools up, whereas a Supercharger has a whining sound when it spools up, kind of like the sound of a world rally champ car, but not as pronounced. And yes, they can both be used with Blow off valves (Dump valves) for the sound and added effect

Then there is shipping, other parts for internal build up and shipping for them and then the install plus tuning.
Just guessing but, I'm thinking it would be around $8,000-10,00 after its all bought installed and tuned.
I'm gonna take your little Civic. Dust it off. Turn it sideways and stick it straight up you candy A*s.

does the trd s/c need an intercooler? and why does trd say not to use a CAI when using the s/c? can you use the s/c with a CAI if you tune the ecu?

the s/c does not need an intercooler and does not come with one. matrix owners have used a cai w/ their trd s/c and havent really had problems but they make sure to use 93 octane gas or water/alcohol injection<<something like that. The matrix owners have to use the trd cai because the others wont fit so im not even sure if we could fit a cai in our engine bays. I dont think the trd ecu is tunable but someone correct me if im wrong.
