is there a way to disable the A/C when you turn on the windshield defrost?

keep the AC on when you have your defroster on and just turn knob to heat (if that makes any sense) sounds wierd but it works for me thumbsup

Isn't that annoying! It comes on automatically to help clear the windshield, which is not always necessary. Its a realy horsepower sucker.

This has been implanted on all car with A/C a couple of years ago. Because of owner living in winter country, the A/C compressor was not working for months and when the heat was comming back, some time the compressor was not fonctionning at all because it was off during too much time.
