Threw my old scanner in my car about a week ago to hear all the funny stuff happening around town. Tonight we out on a back road with a huge coltisack by the local walmart. One of the civics threw some McDonalts Trays under his rear tires and was doing a good job of Drifting with them rofl

We are all out there having a blast watching this and another guy burning out on an oil slic in his truck for liek 2min... when my scanner picked up a dispatch about it.

We gout the F*%^ out of there and head back to our hangout. Cops show up there 10min later, "Who were those guys out by walmart?" LOL "Must have been some kids from the next town over"

LOL fun night smile IUm definatly investing in a base unit for my car that hooks to the head unit smile

just be careful having a scanner in your car...make sure its portable or well hidden. It is illegal to drive with a police scanner in your car (got a very expensive ticket for it once)

NJ has the most strick laws on Scanners if you get a HAM operator lisence (very easy and cheap) you can carry it.
In CA if you travel on the interstate or comute at all for work its legal.

That video was exactly it. The civic could go (Much harded then in video) for about 45 seconds. the CRX did it for a good min before the trays ate through

I've been doing the "tray trick" for years now,i cant believe some of you people havent heard of it. I usually goto a mall with like 8 friends, we grab 2 trays each, then double stack them. It takes like 5-6 good spins to wear through them. Another one i did was take the side off an old computer case and use them, since they're metal they havent worn through yet for me.

tray sliding thumbsup

The best ones you get from the back of gas stations, the pepsi cartons. They last forever.
