How much lighter will the celica be if the entire body was carbon fiber?

Wow! Is the carbon one kinda like the Fiberglass one? If so...That would suck for street driving. Awesome for track though! Finally we have a chance at keeping up with hondas! thumbsup

why bad for street driving? you mean accidents? just get a full chromoly roll cage w/ harness and keep your air bags. An aluminum bodied car gets crushed and you can always get crushed with your car if say you get hit by an SUV. A car with a full chromoly roll cage will get pushed (unless you are hit by a semi or a train). Look at the wrecks Nascar drivers get into and walk away from.

uh, you mean hondas with motor swaps and nitrous, right? Like a gutted CRX with Type R motor. With a complete carbon fiber body on top of the chasis...it's like you can keep up with a Ferrari (with the Celica having all of the best bolt-ons, engine build, and a highly tuned PFC.) Shoot higher than hondas hahaha.

hmmmm...the hatch and the doors are cheap...that's where I will start until I can afford the Carbon Fiber body.

Does anyone know how and have the capability to make molds of body panels? GTP told me they would do a Carbon Fiber body for free IF I brought them the mold. I wonder how much Mr. Rado would rent his mold for, assuming he can get one. I mean the man has the TRD hookup after all.

After this post, the next thing you see is Ecelica track cars showing up everywhere. thumbsup
