That stuff might eat the plastic. Be careful, try small spot & see how that goes.

if i were u, i wouldnt use paint remover. why make ur work messier and longer?
if you use paint remover, it might remove some surfaces more than others and then you have to sand it to make it smooth and paint it, plus ur new paint wont stick perfectly. just use a sandpaper, sand the surface a bit so the paint will have more grip and start the process all over.the previous paint coats you have put before wouldnt bother the new paint job if the old coats have dried enough

just sand it and paint over. i wouldnt risk using any kinda of spray, unless somebody already has used brake cleaner on plastic.

As for spraying it over the plastic... I did the accord engine cover plastic 3 times... and I took off the paint 3 times and plastic seems intact and good... (used brake cleaner 3 times to wash all those old paint off...) so I just assume that brake cleaner's okay for plastic??!! confused sorry, I dont know the answer to that myself... but... no problem so far... it's been 1 year for painted accord cover... no bad plastics yet... at least it still looks good.. I gonna just attach picture of the accord engine bay...
