Decided i am finally going to sell my celi. I have had so many problems with it i think it is time to let it go. I had to replace the engine at 30.000 miles, had my tires slashed, had my winshiled wipers bent, failed emmisions, and then now i got into a car accident because of the rain. Anyways, so after i get it fixed from the accident (minor 15 MPH collision) i am going to sell it. I am going to ask 15000 for it...its a white 2000 GT with 32000 miles (engine only has 1800) and i am thinking of keeping my sound system in it. I saw celica GTs on autotrader.com for like 16000 with the same miles...so im not sure if i should ask more for it...

does everyone think that 15,000 is a good price...should it be more/less?

should i keep the system in it...or should i take it out?

yea...i think i am going to ask 15 and if nobody wants it i will just stick with it...im not sure what i am going to get as a replacement...really love the celica and would love to have another one. I have just had such bad luck with this car and i have only had it for a like 6 months...i was thinking about a WRX (found one for 14K) or something with rear-wheel drive...i still need to think but the search is on...

Well, there's no harm in trying to 15 or more; put that as your asking price and see what people will offer.

I would try and sell it private first you would be able to get more money out of the car that way. From a buyers standpoint buying private is cheaper than buying from the dealership.

on Autotrader.com i found my exact car...a 2000 white Toyota Celica GT with the same options and 37,000 miles (5k more than mine)...and they are asking $15995. One on there that has close to 50K miles is still asking 15995 so it seems like $15,000 is not that crazy of an idea.

^^ Yeah but did that car get in a accident? You did and have to take that into account and the fact that you replaced the engine, the average buyer sees that as a big red flag. You'll be lucky to get 15k for your car.

I would offer you 10k or less.

the accident was very minor tho...only had to replace the fender. There was no real damage. Im going to ask 15, and if nobody offers more than 13,500 i am going to just keep it for longer. I am in no rush to sell it...just think its a good idea.
