I just bought this Intake Sensor Mod for the celica off ebay a week ago. It says its supposed to trick the Ecu into thinking that Colder Air is coming into the engine therefore producing more HP. Has anyone installed one of these on their celica and if so how did it work out?

No pictures of it on the webpage. It says you just add it on with no other modifications

Yeah, resistors don't do shit.

Those people who sell those things should have fraud claims filed against them, but in the case of this guy, he flat out told you that it wouldn't do shit.

Just gotta read the fine print.

the only way you can tricking your ecu into thinking the incoming air is colder than it really is, would be to relocate the IAT sensor that is normally found plugged into one of the Intake runners of the manifold, and put it into the Intake tube ahead of the throttle body. But since our cars dont have an Incoming Air Temperature sensor, and instead have a Maf sensor to tell the ecu the incoming air temp, there is no way to trick the ecu
