Sounds like the switch is broken. It wouldn't be a fuse, because then it wouldn't work at all.

It's either a broken switch, or the motor for the window is busted.

thanks. but can you tell me how to fix that without generally voiding a warranty?

Is this not covered under warranty? If it is, then don't touch anything, just get it fixed.

If you want to, (I wouldn't advise it though) you could remove the switch and inspect it. When you push the switch in the direction that the window doesn't go (can't remember if it's up or down?) look and see if interior of the switch makes contact with something that should look like a flexible piece of tin. That's how it should work (but I don't know what type of switch it is), when you press down on one side of a switch, it should make contact with that piece of tin, or thin metal that is under the switch.

Switches don't break too often, so I'm guessing that the switch is ok, and that perhaps it short circuited somehow (made contact with a ground before it hit the load). Could be anything, and electrical troubleshooting is a real bitch.

Once again, get it done by the pros if it's covered under warranty, and even if it isn't, get it done by them anyways. tongue

But if you want to, you could just order a new switch (or go to a junk yard) and install it yourself. Not too hard.

thanks guys. btw, i dont suggest one of these if ur ever in the market for a minivan. so far... the automatic doors stopped working so we had to climb ever the drivers seat to get out, the rear window wiper has erectile dysfucntion and wehn you turn it on it goes the wrong way and starts to 'clean' the liscense plate, the headphones for the tv only work if your lucky or if you talk low to it. damn domestics...
