Alright - has anyone got any advice for me on this situation? Any would be appreciated.

Mods: Blitz Short Ram Intake with K&N filter, breather filter in place on the "extra" hose from the stock airbox, HKS exhaust (its a 2000 GTS, by the way)

I was previously getting a fairly regular intermittent check engine light (CEL). So, I had it in to the Toyota dealer, and they told me the code read a "soft" running rich indication. I'm not really sure what the "soft" part meant, but they told me it wasn't something to worry about. That doesn't seem very logical to me, but whatever. Well, now the CEL is on full time, and the code read the same this past weekend. I've tried cleaning the K&N air filter, cleaning the MAF sensor and resetting the ECU, but it still persists. Any ideas? Perhaps the little breather filter needs replacing?

I've had spark plug replacement and fuel injector cleaner suggested already - does that sound like a possible fix?

Thx.

ok bro, for one, if you are running rich, then you are probably getting some fuel onto the cylinder walls (not fully combusting)...and in that event you should change your oil more often...also, rather than put a breather onto the extra hose from the airbox, you SHOULD PLUG IT WITH A SMALL SCREW!!! all the other Intake's come with a plug for this. I assume you are talking about the hose that went to the butterfly valve housing in the stock airbox (its the only left over hose after you install an Intake)...anyway, yeah, plug that fucker, rather than putting a breather on it, and reset your ecu, you should be fine thumbsup...if you still have trouble, post a pic of your engine bay if you can, and I'll see if I can see anything else thumbsup

Thanks for the advice - I'll give it a shot. Any additional suggestions/thoughts?

You can actually test your heated O2 sensors with a voltmeter.
