I just recently bought and installed the DC Header for my GT. I've noticed that after I got done installing it, smoke was coming out from under the hood. The smoke looked as if it was steam and it didn't smell like exhaust. Just smelt like hot air. I'm not sure if this is normal or not. This is not my only concern. I have drove the car around a while and I don't feel any kind of power or sound change. Will I notice anything after I have broken into it or am I supposed to notice changing as soon as I install it? I don't know. Can you guys tell me what's is going on.

Sounds like something isn't sealed. I would check the header gasket connection to make sure its tightened. Could be a couple of things.

You're probably not going to notice a sound change over your CAI or exhuast, because they are just as noisy. I've read before that you can't really feel a couple of horses difference. idunno

Rule of thumb: Anytime you make a Performance modification, reset the ECU. Disconnect the negative terminal for about 15 minutes then reconnect. Your ECU will recognize your new install and adjust. It should feel different afterward.

Did you put a new mainfold gasket on when you changed your headers? You should always replace gaskets when putting different parts back on. Check to make sure that everything is tightned. I just put my headers on and you might get a little smell at first then it will go away. It is just the header breaking in.

You aren't gonna feel any type of power gain from headers, an Intake, or exhaust alone.

That's just too little power to feel. Only way you would notice the difference is if you took it to the track.
