I found a deal on a coilover conversion kit (when I say kit, I mean just the springs and sleeves) on ebay, The box said 01 Celica...The dude garanteed that they would fit my 02. The sleeve wouldnt fit around the strut on the front, I guess its a strut not a shock, Anyway, They are useless.

My Question is:

Which ones work; Ground Control, Skunk2, Aerospeed, etc.

Thanks

my front ones wouldn't fit right either. until i took that gold cap off the end of the shocks and then it went straight down on it. so try that to see if that works, if not sorry but i tried.

just to clarify.. when people talk about coil overs do they talk about "adjustable springs" or the full coil over like Tien or JIC (the expensive ones)

Just the springs itchyvi3t.

I thought about trying to take that gold cap off the shock myself, but I figured it was a seal of some sort, I was afraid of ruining the shock.

TRDemonJC
How did you get the cap off the shock?

Did you leave it off?

Did the shock leak?

thanks

It can be EITHER! A coilover is just a generic name everyone except for you, use for and ajustable coil spring. A "conversion kit" means it "converts" your oem system to make it adjustable.

Besides... If you would have read my original question, I quoted the following:(when I say kit, I mean just the springs and sleeves).

It was a simple question, witch deserved a simple answer...Thank you TRDemonJC for your reply.

THE ANSWER TO THE QUESTION IS.

REMOVE THE GOLD CAP ON THE FRONT STRUT TO ENABLE YOU TO SLIDE THE THREADED SLEEVE ONTO IT. Then make sure you gently tap the gold cap into its original position.

THANK YOU
