Custom Mod n00b
Everytime I try to add something, I end up fucking it up somehow. I tried acetate covering for the center console lighting and broke my PCB inside, so my A/C and heater don't work. I tried to do LEDS in the A/C and I think I burnt 2 of the 3 out. They don't seem to turn on, not even with a AA battery. Today, I tried doing CCFL footwells. One of the tubes had both wires broken, so I might either resolder or take the whole kit back to CompUSA. The other one I plugged into the inverter and connected the one wire to the cig lighter, the other grounded to the outside. The tube wouldn't turn on!!! I just get more and more frustrated with this. Is this happening to anyone else or do I just have the worst luck on installs? I follow the guides exactly! angry confused cry

The only things that have worked are Clear Corners, acetate on the cig lighter, custom cabin Air Filter, and S2k antenna.

it may be cheaper for you to actually get your installs done at a shop...

If you don't know how to do something, ask someone to help you.

^^ yup.. and it took me 6hrs the first time i put in my AEM CAI.. but now i could probably do it in 1 -2hrs thumbsup

so basically get help first before you start.. then do a mental walk through.. but even then give yourself plenty of time... and it helps if you can find someone to help you... thumbsup

I feel better already. smile

I don't follow directions too good. Friend on Ecelica got his footwells to work, but after the second try. I'll get help through him, maybe.

These CompUSA CCFLs are crap! I can install, its just that it doesn't work. cry

yeah like they said. A lot of the time we think were the only ones with something wrong but 99% of the time were not. thumbsup
