I think you'll be fine but the zip tie looks horrible. I would give the company you bought it from hell. Its up to them to make good on it, they sold you an Intake with missing parts.

Mine isn't connected where it should be either. It's only been connected to the throttle body for, like six months now and it's on tight like a mofo...it's not going anywhere. I wouldn't worry too much as long as everything is tightened down.

i raced some pps now and i smelled soem burned stuff very strong and for about 20-30 sek. i stoped and checked the engien and it was no smell or any problem i cudd see.
i fhink it was the cluch since i took it to 6000 on 1,2,3 and to 4500 in 4 gear
and when i was on another stop i took it to 3500 rpm and it smelled again just not so mutch just for 5 sek and very ligth
in this pic you see the conection to the manifol it is connected to the fhing that was mounted under the stock air box , i cudd not find that in any innstal guide but a frined of mine that has done it on hes car sad it was suppouse to go in there is it correct.

you should be fine, I have the same setup, but I agree with Gen7fan, you should raise hell with the company that sold you that Intake

can't help with the parts to be covered too much; basically any wiring you see, and don't worry bout the smell too much, i smelled that the first time i pushed my car

cant you make your own mounting brackets...
like from a piece of metal and just bend it and then drill two wholes or whatever...
your car will be fine tho... as long as the hose clapms are tight on the TB.
