I don't really like the stock rubber pedal covers, they're just kind of slippery sometimes.
Is there any real difference among the different after market stuff? Does it come down to personal preference for the style? I'm open to recommendations but prefer a set that includes the dead pedal.

you can always buy the gts pedals..but they're like $200.
i have them (obviously) and my foot doesnt slip of them..but my foot doesnt slip off of other rubbers ones either, though.
you can always go to modacar.com or sounddomain.com to look at their pedals..they should offer deadpedal sets as well.

Don't get the cheap generic pedals that "clamp" on. If you don't wanna shell out the dough for the GTS pedals, autovation.net makes a nice custom pair that BOLTS into place. Here's a pic of mine

i think none of them are gonna give you a good grip if ur shoes are wet. aluminum can be as slippery as ruber, even with holes, it wont grip. maybe put a towl on the pedal you like or on ur foot? or maybe put a pedal in a sock and have ur feet as dry as you can. more grip on cloth then rubber or aluminum

It's not like a flat sheet of metal.

I don't think any pedals would be comfortable to have when driving barefoot.
