I got quoted $300 to prep/paint/clear coat. My kaminari Urethane kit. How does this sound? I am planing on pre-fitting and installing the kit on my own to save some cash. How had is the install? Kaminari set me a paper with step by step on how to remove stock stuff and put the new on. Is this a 1 man job? thanks for the help.
it shouldbe a 2 man job, kuz your gonna have to hold it up while your bolting it on and stuff, there is a info page in the How-to section that says how to remove it and install a new one.
I've had my kit for about a month now and finally i can get it on before school starts. (junior in high school) Also for that $300 they are gonna paint my c-one style hood scoop and also replace my stock spoiler with a used trd one that i bought. I really want the trd wing on so bad. it makes the car look so much more aggressive. Also i'm glad i'm gonna have my kit on because there are a whole bunch of girls around here that drive celica's and i wanna stick out like a sore thumb
I asked my insuance company of places they send people to when they get in a wreck and the first place they told me i called and they sounded very proffessional. My cousin who is 23 also went there because he hit a deer and he is telling me to get my kitt painted there also
well then hell yeah!!!! I got quoted at $250 for the front bumper, and $400 for the sides and rear!!! if they do good work, then $300 is awesome...just make sure that you ask them that they have experience with painting Urethane bodykits...they could be a shop that has been in business 20 years, but have only done regular car pieces...you need a shop experienced with painting Urethane...but it all sounds good...post pcis when your done
Ya they said they really preffer only painting/installing OEM Urethane products cuase they claim Urethane kits are a pain in the ass to install...they oviously haven't heard of Kaminari but ya i guess if my insurance company recommends them then they shoudl be ok. Should i expect to get any kind of warrenty?
yeah, the kam kit should have come with all the mounting hardware, and should be predrilled...they are a nice kit...and oh yeah, no warranty on paint work...never heard of that before, you could go over a bed of rocks and floor it and tear all sorts of shit up, warranty wouldn't make much sense
How can i tell that they do good work. What should i look for when i go to the shop? Someplaces give a warranty that says that if that paint just starts to flake off they'll repaint it i guess it kinda saying that they do good work
