I just got a VIS double sided c/f hood with the raised hood scoop (got hooked up, tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight). Anyways, my question is, I know I need hood pins, but does it matter which company?? where can I get good quality, safe ones for cheap?? Any other info at all concerning hood pins would be appreciated.

I reccommend putting them at an angle also. It will add a little more style than just straight. thumbsup

hoodpins are hoodpins... they are all basically the same design, only with different company names printed on them - oh, and the price is quite different too.

when it comes to modding your car, hoodpins are probably one of the only parts where it doesnt matter who makes them, they are gunna be the same product once finally installed thumbsup

...

EverythingCelica store sells hoodpins - but rather than putting on the sparco that we have here, I oppted for momo because they were less exspensive and I could get them in powercoated red.

i held MOMO and SPARCO pins next to each other - and there was no way I would have been able to tell the difference if they had both been silver thumbsup

Okay, well thanks for the replies (especially from all-mighty Isaac), but I have some other questions.

1) Is there anyone who sells black hood pins or can I paint silver ones black and if so, with what paint should I use??

2) Does anyone know of somewhere in southern cali where I can get my hoodpins installed for CHEAP?

3) Where can I get sparco or momo or some other good hoodpins for CHEAP??

you can get a set of hoodpin in gunmetal color... thats pretty close to black and looks great too thumbsup

Expect to pay between $15 and $40 for the pins... average pricing is $25 and another $6 for shipping

:google: grin
