you can expect a little more wheel hop, a little loss in low end, but wonders in the mid and up top. It is definitely worht it. But get a clutch at the same time. thumbsup
Do some research on aluminum vs. Chromolly. no offense, I am just too tired to type it out. If no one does then I will do it tomorrow. thumbsup

You don't really need one for a street car. If you do decide to get one, get a clutch at the same time and save yourself 400-500 dollars of installation fees.

I'm going with the TRD Japan street clutch! Everyone tells me it is worth it. I want a turbo, but I don't think it's going to happen.

yes, if you want to keep it toyota then the jdm trd street clutch AND flywheel is the best way to go. i've heard so many good things about them that even if i wasn't getting toyo's help installing mine (it's a loooooong story) i'd still buy them down the road. thumbsup

Yes, less rotating mass at the crank will free up some of that lost horepower, and direct it to the wheels. Well worth it.

However, be sure to get a lightweight flywheel, and not a "Lightened" flywheel. Lightened flywheels are stock ones that have been drilled out to lighten them, but it makes them weaker.

A new clutch would be good too, but I disagree that it should be required, there is less mass at the flywheel with this mod, so it's not like you'd need more clamping force to engage the gears, However, a better clutch would be a good upgrade to do since you have the tranny open anyways. get it all done at one time rather than opening it up multiple times, you know?
