Well, last night at about one in the morning, I decided to install my Eibach Sportline Lowering Springs. Took me 4 hours (no joke) just to do one spring! It took sooo long because of a few factors: 1. Couldn't turn on the air compressor because it would wake up the whole house. 2. I was about to fall asleep from sleeping pills. 3. Couldn't get the god damn stabalizer support in and out of the strut without beating the living shit out of it and my hands. 4. Never done this kind of work before. I literally had to wash my hands with Lava soap until they bled to remove all of the grimey ass dirt that builds up on the suspension. It also took me a while to figure out how to position the spring and other components onto the strut just right. Didn't want to fuck anything up. Hopefully tonight I can at least finish the front of the car, and tomorrow, finish the rear. Right now, I'm at work, and I had to drive my car with only the front driver's side wheel lowered. Car pulls to the left ever so slightly, but as long as nothing is falling off, I'm happy. Tonight, I'll be prayin like hell that the strut doesn't give way. I don't trust some of the work I do, but I took long enough on the whole project, so hopefully I did it well. I will update this post tomorrow with final pics (hopefully). As for now, I'm not sure why I wrote this, but perhaps someone will take pleasure in my misfortunes.

Meh, I'm not too worried about it. It doesn't look bad at all, you can't even tell. It just pulls ever so slightly to the left. Not worried about putting stress on anything such as the tires cause I am only going to drive it like it is for one day only.
And I have a 30 gal air compressor, which makes the job sooooo much easier.

You guys out there have probably 50 times more places that do custom car work, tires, wheels, etc. Out here in farm country, there are only like 10 places that you can go for certain stuff, and all of them quoted me at like $150 for spring installation. Would have had my gf's dad do it, but I don't wanna keep bothering him for small shit, just shit I can't do myself.

Anyone know an easier way to get the stabalizer bar link back into the strut? I literally had to stand on the bar to get it back in, and even then it took me like a half an hour.

slid in perfectly for me when i did it...
try putting the endlink in and bolting it as the first thing you do when you reinstall the spring/strut

try putting the endlink in and bolting it as the first thing you do when you reinstall the spring/strut I thought about that, but in order for it to slide in like that, you would have to move the strut up further, and you can only move it up so far. Unless you are talking about turning the stabalizer to a 45 degree angle, and then moving the strut to the side, and then slide it up?? Also, I'm hoping like hell that the rear wheels will be easier to do. Am I right?

Fuck. Because you have to get under there more, and because the bolts are torqued more?

bolts are harder to get off, and you have to drop the whole rear suspension... its that wishbone suspension in the back...

yeah the back is such a bitch. You need to unbolt several things jsut to get the strut out of the "cage" its in. Dont matter how you wrestle with it...unless you unbolt like the whole rear suspention your not gonna be able to pull it out. i wish you luck

like i said, you dont have to unbolt the whole rear suspension. all i did was remove the wheel, remove the exhaust, unbolt the top three bolts on the strut, use an impact wrench to get the bottom bolt on the strut, then move it around a bit and its out.

Satoshi, is there anything that you can't do? Thanks for the details on the rear suspension. I will be dealing with that tonight. I finally got the front done today. It looks great, but kinda strange since the front is lowered, and the rear is untouched. That will change tonight. I took pics today of the lowered front end and the raised back end, but my digital camera won't power up.
