Hey guys..I just got my celica about 2 weeks ago, just after my 16th birthday, and just started using this site..i have a blitz kit, trd spoiler, and 17" konig verdicts. but just today i bought a wiring harness and bracket for my new cd player, for like $35 from a car store and they gave me a wiring harness for a jeep and a bracket for an echo...how messed up is that!
And how was it that you got screwed? it sounds like that stereo company you went to really knew what they were doing, and gave you all the correct parts.
some shops will tell you that they dont make aftermarket stereo parts for your car because they cannot find them in thier catalogs.
your shop knew exactly what parts were interchangable with what cars - and they gave you the correct parts
Check my two attached images...
The connector for the rear of your stock celica stereo...
oh yeah... I dont know why I posted the back of the FACTORY head unit... you are getting rid of that thing
Any stereo install shop can build you a custom wire harness for about $10 and change.
Your shop probably gave you the jeep harness because you told them what type of head unit you have and its the same connectors... now you just need to splice one end of the connectors with that of your celica's
It's not just your imagination... Your day really does go by twice as fast while on EverythingCelica.com
no i just told them i want a wiring harness for a 2002 celica GTS and they handed me the one for the jeep..then i went back and they gave me a new one and it said on the package that it was for toyota's like 87 and up, but it doesn't fit either..the guys at this store are complete idiots and now i have to go back down there and just try to get my money back.
