A couple of people have asked me the part numbers (from Digikey.com) of the LED's I used for changing the color of both the LCD screen and Speedo/Tach on the instrument cluster.

I used Red and Blue LED's, so I will provide those part numbers since I have the invoice right in front of me.

Blue LED's

Description: LED BLUE CLEAR 1206 REV MT SMD

Product Number: 160-1454-1-ND

Red LED's

Description: LED RED CLEAR 1206 REAR MNT SMD

Product Number: 160-1186-ND

You will notice that the product description for the Blue LED's differ from the Red ones slightly. Don't worry, they are exactly the same, and look the exact same (except for the color of light they emit, DUH).

The blue ones are a little pricey at a little over a dollar per LED, but they are worth every penny.

For the Speedometer and Tachometer, you will need 10 LED's.

For the Gas/Temp LCD Screen, you will need 13 LED's.

I HIGHLY recommend that you buy a few extra LED's in case you mess up. You can also change the color of other lights on the board, such as the Check Engine Light, Door Ajar Light, etc.

If you need part numbers for any other color, just ask, and I will post them in this thread. This is an EXTREMELY easy mod to do, and I never soldered anything before this in my life! Any questions, just ask.

Later.

Oh, and I forgot to mention that these same LED's can be used to change the color of the backlights on your stock CD Player/Stereo, you will just need a hell of a lot more of them.

I forgot, but I believe it was around $20-$25 dollars.

Digikey.com has a policy that if your total is over $20 or so (forgot the exact amount), they will ship for free.

I bought exactly as many LED's as I needed, and fell like a dollar or two under the free shipping limit. So, I just added a few more LED's to the bill so that the shipping would be free.
