I was trying to change the color of the bulb for the cigarette lighter, all i did was color it with a sharpie after removing the cap. Any ideas on why it dosn't work, or how to get the damn bulb out?

Thanks,
Alex

I'm a n00b. I tried to change the color of the AC controls and I broke the PCB board, so my air conditioning no longer works. I took the green off the cigaretter lighter bulb and now its light pink.

Black sharpies won't show color, just to let you know rofl. You should have used colored celephame or the plastic seethrough wrapping paper. Thats my next project, if I don't ruin that one too. The coating from the marker is probably heating up, cause it to eat away at the glass on the bulb. Its just like the oil from fingerprints on headlights.

Just pull the bulb out. I dont know where you're gonna find another bulb like it. While we're at it, anybody know where I can get an AC PCB board replacement? laughsilly

My AC doesn't work anymore, and I replaced the board, and it still doesn't work.

Celica_Noob, reach down by the top of the handbrake. Where the rubber meets the center console, stick your finger in there and lift up. The console around the shifter just pops off. The bulb is right next to the cigarette lighter housing. Twist and pull and it comes right out. Good luck fixing it though.

My heater and AC buttons stick too. Its because of the console cover. I tried tightening it while pushing upward and the buttons didn't stick, but after I let go, the buttons always get stuck. If you break bulbs, just replace them with LEDs. You might need a resistor in the series path wiring chain before you connect to 12v or else the LED will burn out. Good luck finding the bulbs.

I believe the light that illuminates the cig lighter is actually an LED.
