Celica Forums General Discussion Exterior my check engin light

my check engine light came on yesterday and i went to autozone ant they told me it might be the cats or my o2 sencers. this is what i have on my car it has ijen cai race dev. hotshot headers, and a greddy catback sp2. thats it its a 2001 gt with 40005 miles can any one let me know what i can do to fix it i already did the toning on the car dont know what else to do i heard that i might need to go to the dealer to get it reset?

did you just install your CAI? BUt if you wanna give this a try... Reset your ECU, by doing that just disconnect your negative (black) terminal and leave it off for a couple of mins then put it back on and let the car run for a few mins and see what happens after a few days. Thats if you wanna try that route? It doesnt hurt to try that either considering it doesnt cost you anything to do it GL BRO!

^^^duh..u have + which is REd, which is 12v..the - which is Blak which is Ground...the Black/-/Ground cable is waht you want to disconnect..good luck..
