Lately a few of my gears have been grinding and i do not think it is my fault. when upshifting int 5th sometimes, downshifting from 6th to 5th, 5th to 4th, and almost anytime into 2nd my gears grind. However, 3rd gear never grinds no matter what speed i am at. I have tried rev matching and it helps a little but something seems wrong. I have driven other sticks and they do not have this problem. Is this normal? If not would the cost of repairs be covered under warranty by the dealer. Any help is appreciated.

Sounds like the bearings in the tranny. The 2003 Gt 5 speeds are prone to this, and should be replaced under warranty ( I went thru this this last weekend), and all of the GTS tranny's have issues, including weak shift gates on the 2000-2001 models

Did you let the dealer do the transmission swap? if yes, I am sure it covered the warranty.
