Well, as stated on my posts before, my car is making a loud and terrible bug sounding noise. The very annoying belt tensioner + drive belt combination of problem.

Took the car in today to get it looked at. Just received a phone call from the Service Writer and the total damage to my wallet to get it fixed under the extended warranty is $130.

Basically $50 bucks is for the deductible, and $77 bucks for the Drive Belt because the extended warranty won't cover that part of the problem. They will only cover the Belt Tensioner.

So what do you guys think, did I get ripped off or not really?

Have no picked up the car yet, will probably be done tomorrow since it is already 5 PM right now.

O and when I mentioned to him the whole Lift Bolt issue, he did not know wtf I was talking about. I even mentioned the whole TSB deal, and he said he never heard it before and also started to make up some story how I asked him about the Lift Bolt issue before. But the thing was, I just got my GTS and drove it about 500K. I never brought the car to that dealership before. Either I look like some random kid that also drives a GTS asking about the same question or the guy is just trying to BS me, lol.

Anyhow, I can't wait to hear my engine and not the bugs...

I need to do something regarding the Lift Bolts tho. Is it covered under any type of warranty? And also, what is the exact term that they use for it? They seem to have no idea wtf lift bolts are. The guy even asked me to show him what it was. I was like, hmmm...I have to take apart a lot of stuff to show you it.

I am wondering if anyone here was able to get the dealership to take a look at it. And what exactly did they say so that the service writer is on the same level.

But yeah, just picked up the car earlier today and paid $138.22. They replaced the Belt Tensioner with a new one and also got me the new Serpentine Belt.

I saw the actual pricing and if I did not have extended warranty, I would be looking at $350. Saving $210 is good enough for me!

Thanks guys!

If you got a problem fixed and made it out of the dealership for $130, I think you made out pretty good.

Yeah, I agree. Now I will be going back to the same service guy. He seems pretty cool, even tho I know he had me somewhere in the transaction, lol.

Same thing happened to me. After paying for the Service, I went to the part guy and asked for some Lift Bolts for the Celi. Guy looked me hella weird, and I asked if he wanted me to give him the part number. I gave it to him and while he is typing the digits on his Comp. Guy still have this dumbass look on his face.

Then he was like "Lift bolts, hmmm...bolts huh, well, that will be .90 cents for each". I said I wanted two and he wrote the paperwork. When I paid for it, they only charged me .68 cents for 2. That was weird.

Also went to Kragen afterwards to get a new rear wiper blades. $10 bucks, hehe. I love spending little cash for noticeable difference.

My rear blades was soo jacked up it's not even funny.

And get our asses handed down on a silver platter.

If we do not act as if we know something, they will upcharge their fees and we will end up with a jacked up bill to pay...
