Ok, so now that I have your attention, how is it that no one mentioned how insanely hard it is to put the radiator shroud adaptor into the radiator shroud with an AEM Intake!! Also, What's it supposed to sound like? I think everything is ok but I'm not sure cause I've never done an Intake before.

its the grey adaptor that fits into the radiator shroud, connects to the 1/2" tubing, then connects to the ECU in order to cool it. THat grey adaptor was a BITCH to put into the radiator shroud. On the upside, no CEL!

yeah, its hard as all holy fucking shit to get that thing in there...I used pliers and grabbed the bottom part of the hole that the piece goes in and pulled the bottom a little and cracked it just a bit...fits soooo much easier. Use tape if you want, but its not really a big deal. Just crack it a little, don't yank the fucker off!!! it should go in no problem, and if you want, you can use a little tape to cover the crack. I've had mine for about 20,000 miles and never had a CEL...good luck bro and keep us posted

Matt "I took a hammer and a piece of wood .. to hit it in.. i hammered the wood against the thing in order to not damage the piece.. just damage the wood wood I used was one of those FREE Home Depot paint mixer sticks. Not the thin flimsy ones for 1 gallon but the thick ones for a 5 gallon. Just ask them for one say your dad needs another one or something. I was laying on the ground dead tired, so close to finishing the install that i just decided to bang it in there but doing it semi safly with that wood. Seeing as the grain of the wood was in my favor everythign worked out great " taken from here.. also some sound clips here too.. https://celicahobby.com/ubbthrea...4Post1870099054

I know you don't have a lot of room down there, but you somehow need to manage to get a hammer down into there and tap it on in. Once you use a hammer, it's easy as pie.
There's no way in hell you can get that in there with just your hands.

yeah erick I remember when you said that, I have no fucking clue how yu got a hammer in there. Keep in mind I have no ramps and my driveway is a hill. I used my hands for about half an hour. Ended with me sweaty, shirtless, black hands with two cuts and a reopened burn scar. It mostly in, I figure ill tap it in there when I do my oil change in a few days at my frinds house on aseta ramps.

I actually managed to snap it in with only my hands but it took forever and was very frustrating... I tried pretty much every angle
- when it is seated properly, you'll hear the snap and know it's all the way in

like i said use a piece of wood one of those stirring sticks from home depot.. the one used to mix 5gallon paint... its like a foot and a half long.. so you'd hammer that wood onto the piece you want in.. and i was doing this on the ground also.. no ramps
