gotta love when Toyota honors your warranty

ok, so some of you may remember that I had a random rattle start on me in 3rd, 4th, and 5th on my 2003 GT 5 speed last week. I took it to the dealer and they said to bring it in this last monday so they could tear it down and blah, blah, blah. Well, they tore it down, and found that my 3rd, 4th, and 5th gear synchros are fucked, as well as the bearings. eek eek cry cry I only have 26,000 miles on my car, and they said that there were no signs of clutch abuse, or anything, so they are gonna cover it under warranty without any hiccups, and not try to claim "Driver abuse" to get out of warranty and get my money...they are ordering they parts, and are gonna rebuild it for me, without a dime from me goodjob goodjob, the guy also quoted me at $700 for labor if I wanted to have a fidanza flywheel, and TRD clutch put in some time down the road...its nice to see a dealer actually not trying to fuck someone thumbsup thumbsup grin eek eek

...nah...they have no idea that I have the 11:1's in there...they are just looking at the tranny, and the flywheel...not the pistons, rods, and and head (thank god!!!)...what they don't know, won't hurt me thumbsup thumbsup

...don't really know...from what I've heard, and from what I've read from the people on this forum and a couple others, I'm not the only one that is having trouble with the 2003 GT 5 speed (maybe a bad batch or something)???????...and to answer your other question, yes, I have the V8 tundra the let me use until like next tuesday or something...I just hope they don's screw up trying to put my AEM CAI back on...either way, I'm happy cause I don't have to pay the $2,000 for the work

no worries, I live in GA...the first thing I did was do a little off-road...I can't go too crazy tho, cause they will look for dents, scratches, blah, blah, blah...and if I return it to them anything less than shiny as all hell, they will charge me $70 to detail it. its a 2004 with like 1700 miles on it, so I imagine that they are going to want to sell it after I give it back

...nah...I don't like big vehicles at all...and the 30,000 it would cost me would definitely be spent in better places before I'd buy another truck (had one before)
