sure it's been asked b4, but here's a quickie. How needed r the plastics on the bottom of the car. They just keep it cleaner right?

Airflow is the main purpose; the easier the path under your car, the more down force is created.

isnt it for aerodynamics too?? cause it doesnt allow air to be caught in the firewall which would slow it down.

Airflow is the main purpose; the easier the path under your car, the more down force is created. the easier the path is for less drag not down force haha lol down force from the bottom of ur car
