Remote
I bought a remote from ebay because the dealers charge like $ 175 bucks and $ 30 more for programming. I have a 2000 Celica GT and i can't get it to work. It doesn't look exactly the same as mine and it says its for TRW. Here's the one i bought: click here . I wanted to know why they would make 2 types of remotes? And if that one would even work with my car. I tried using the programming instructions that came with it but they didn't work. I also tried the programming instructions here up to the point where it programs the remote.

If you guys know any tips or tricks that i could get it working, or even if it does work, i'd appreciate it.

As far as I know ach remote works off of a different freq. so that you can't go around opening up everyone's doors. The only way to reprogram a remote would to correctly set the new freq. so your exisiting alarm will respond to it.

The dealer is the only one that I know of that can do this.

All ya gotta do is program the remote by reading the instruction for the rs3200. Directions are easily found online if you don't have the instructions
