Cold Start, High Idling.

I have high idling whe i first fire her up, idles at just about 2000rpms. I have tightened my throttle cable before and loosened it so this wouldn't happen. Cleaned MAF.

Could it be the battery? plugs? ignition timing?

What's going on! poke

But it goes away after a few minutes. That's normal. Car's just warming itself up after sitting around for a while. You'll notice that if you start it up again after not running it, it won't do it. Be easy man, your car's fine.

alright. If it wasn't the reasons i listed i figured it would because it was just fired up. Thanks.

Are they supposed to cold idle between 1100 & 1400 ... not 2000?

Mine is a 2000 GTS and it idles at exactly 2000 when cold.. so I dont think its a problem smile The only problem would be running it hard before its warmed up.
