19's are perfect for the celica! 18's looks like they're part of some package from the dealer (doesn't look that modified). While 17's and smaller make it look like your mom's car.

Ofcourse, it's all a matter of personal taste.

19's do look good on the celi, but your gonna lose a lot of Performance!! I'd say go with nothing bigger then 17 for Performance, but if you dont mind the size, stay with lightweight 16 or 15!!!

I'm just gonna stick to 18's and be right in the middle of the "loss of Performance" gap thumbsup

The reason I asked is because my car's lowered with hotchkis springs, and I'm getting a 1st gen veilside kit. I'm afraid I might scrap the ground with anything smaller than 19"

it's just a matter of tires, then.

stock 16s with stock 205/50/16 tires are ONLY an inch smaller than 18s with 205/40/18 tires.

here, this tire calculator should help:

The overall diamter of the 205/50/16 is 24.1" if you do an 225/35/18 the diameter is 24.2 so i am not sure how that makes for an inch difference. The biggest thing would be weight at that point... There are 15lbs 18s out there.. they would just be expensive.
