The Apexi S-AFC and Greddy E-Manage
which are piggy back fuel managment
systems if your a novice modder this
is what you want rather than a stand alone
ecu.

Not just $950. You'll need the MWR basemaps to start with and with shipping it will be more like $1000. $1012 from MWR to be exact. Then you'll need the software at $339 w/ serial connection, $374 for USB. The software is essential if you want to optimize your gains and know for sure you're not knocking and destroying your engine. Then unless you have a dyno and know how to do EFI tuning with a wideband o2 sensor, you'll have to pay someone $300-$400...each time you upgrade. If you only want it tuned once with your current upgrades, just set aside an even $2000 to be safe...including the helmet you'll need if you break into the 13s at some tracks in cali!!!

I get my kicks on EC.

Woah..I heard the s-afc gets overriden by the ecu. Dont get that unless someone can correct me? So its powerfc, unichip, or greddy emanage.

yes, anything piggyback will be overridden by the smart ecu that the celica has. power fc is the best way to go, as for the unichip and greddy i dont know for sure

really not that expensive for what your getting, depending on how you look at it. yeah its gonna end up being 2 grand, but its like 15 whp, plus reprogramming of the fuel cut off, which is where the serious gains come. (in 1/4 times, not really hp ratings.) what else can you do to the celica to get those kind of gains for that money. granted with 2 grand you could get prolly 100 whp out of a civic, but you have to consider the lack of aftermarket backing we are dealing with.
