True that, that GTO seemed to suck compared to the 240s and S14s I think its becase American cars can only have V8s in Drifting you want Iline4s and6. The GTO seemed like a tank tring to drift
Drift is only for imports

they also threw the GTO together and didn't have time to perfect it. However, I agree that the GTO is a weak drifter because it's really really heavy. But, I think Mustangs, GM F-Body's, and Corvettes have real potential, tons and tons of torque and very light at the rear wheels. Time will tell I suppose...

I guess imports have an advantage as they can get more power/liter w/turbos and what not and do not rely on displacement.

well that video of the GTO is old, i have seen recent videos of the GTO, drifting very well... though it was not in compeition stages...

the show was pretty interesting, but it would have been cool if they did a build up on a car that the common people could attain, and not a gto, with a GM racing engine, and special GM parts...

i heard that the 8086 corollas, are good for drifting, now if i could find a car that i could drift on/off road, it would be perfect...
