I just installed a TRD gauge face and accidentally put the needles on wrong so I had to guess what rpm equaled what mph. Can anyone post the rpm's in 6th gear for 60 mph and 80 mph? Or any other rpm's at specific speeds like 3rd gear 40 mph or 4th gear 40 mph? I'm pretty sure I put the speedo needle too high because I remember the rpm's being around 4000rpm@80mph, but now it says 3500rpm@80mph. Thanks!

BTW - it's a 2003 Celica GTS Stock, no mods except exhaust and now gauge face plate.

When you place the needles on, they should recallibrate themselves. They will shoot up when you start the car up, hold there for a second, and then fall.

Now that I've looked at this...it seems like my rpm's are kinda high. For my 03 GTS 6-speed, for 80, it's a little over 4000 rpm's...why does mine seem higher? confused

Yeah, mine was around 4000 rpm as well from what I remember when I was driving at 80 mph, but now it's at 3500, that's why I think mine is way off.

I just went out with my friend to test out the RPM question. He has a 2000 GTS. His rpm at various speeds was the same as mine, so I guess mine is ok, but for some reason it seems slower than before at all speeds. At 40 mph in 3rd gear rpm's are around 3700-3800, at 50 mph in 4th gear rpm's are around 3600, at 60 mph in 6th gear rpm's are around 3700. Going 80 in 6th gear rpm's were around 3600.
