what am i suppose to do to keep it in good condition.its peeling from where i have my left hand on the wheel.

i have a very small spot on the inside of my steering wheel that is peeling...i have the leather wrapped steering wheel and i really don't know what do to about it either.
using a leather cleaner usually makes leather more slippery--something you definately do NOT want to apply on something such as a steering wheel.
