there's a bunch of short shifters on ebay for like under 50 bucks i was wondering would it be a good idea to get one there? i'd save a lot of money but will i get a shitty shifter for the price i pay? i would link to the auction but i'm not sure if we're allowed to am i?

Yah, you can link...you just can't do it in the For Sale forum. In my opinion, unless it's a good brand (and there's only a couple - TRD, B&M, TWM) that most of us who have short-shifters have, don't pick up some no-name shit. Buy as many cheap knock-off neon lights or whatev, but if it affects the peformance (especially your drivetrain) of your car DO NOT try and be cheap about it. thumbsup

Personally I have TWM on my GT and it's tha SHIT thumbsup

there is absolutely nothing wrong with buying products on e-bay...what you are really looking for is what BRAND though.

for a celica shortshifter, you either want to get B&M, TWM, or TRD. these are by far the best quality shortshifters you can purchase for your car.

buying an off-brand shortshifter very often involves cheap parts, bad instruction manual, and a harder install. look on e-bay for the brands i listed above for the best deal thumbsup

b&m is usually more expensive than the other 2..but you get what you pay for.

the b&m throws are the shortest, even though the twm has a lower profile thumbsup
