there is a rubber groumet .. on the driver side. . lay in there upside down with a flash light.. . its right near the middle of the car. . along the top. .. just use a coat hanger.

fish from the inside out.. . its too hard to get it in the from the engine --> inside..

If you use the coat hanger, put some electrical tape on the tip. That will prevent it from digging into a wire. Its pretty easy getting stuff through.

or you could take screwdriver to pry it open just enough to make space for the wire to get though...

don't forgt that rubber groment, to get to it you'd have to take off the driverside wheel well plastics happywink tongue

Ok i have to questions:
(a friend is gonna help me do them)
1) I want to wire my radar detector and its at the top of my windshield...what hole should i go through to get to the engine/battery? And what kind of wire should i use for the radar detector?

2) I want to wire both my footwell neons AND make a switch for them...Do i just connect both wires under the drivers side firwire/wall and hook them to the battery? And how do i go about making a switch for them to turn on and off?

Thanks a lot wave

Easier then it looks! theres a small rubber stopper about the size of a small fist that comes out into the engine compartment just to the left of the battery. pop it out, then your gold!

Wire your radar detector into the cigarette lighter wiring. That way it's hooked up to the ignition. You can leave the detector on and it will turn on and off with the key.

This is actually for the cigarette lighter power with the key off. Need to solder the wires to the connectors on the cigarette lighter that go from the lighter to the fuse box. It would just be easier to run the detector off the outside of the cigarette lighter, but if you have more stuff like cell phones and stuff, go for it. Good luck! thumbsup

There are many ways to wire a switch, depending on what type of switch. For the simpliest switch, take the powers and run them to the power side of the switch and run another wire to a power source and attach to the same side of the switch. Then take the grounds and attach to ground side and run a wire from there to a ground source.

You can also run power directly to the neons and use the switch to control only the ground, or vise versa.

yeah you should have enough room to run them over the pipes. they are not really that big. other side of the gromet is under the steering column thumbsup
