I just got my turn signal bulbs (1156 21w) from ecelica and i tried to install them and the little knubs arent lined up right. What the hells up with that? They are directly across from each other, not offset a little like the orange bulbs that are stock. Anybody know?

you have to snap off or scrape down one of the nubs. they fit perfect with just one nub.

you can use some nail clippers or wire cutters to snip one of the nubs off..

i was thinking about cutting a knub off but didnt know if i should. Is that what everybody has to do or what? There has to be a bulb that fits it right.

alright got mine installed. I used the nail clipper method. It worked really good. About the oils getting on the bulb i just held the bulb in a paper towel...hope that is ok for it. Thanks for the info thumbsup.

yeah, freakin' toyota wants you to buy their $8.99 lightbulbs from their stores. i didn't snap it off, i use a file to shave some of it out. it fits tighter, just in case if it falls out... thumbsup

Yeah, back in 2000 before there were a lot of these forums regarding the Celicas, I was wondering WTF is up with the turn signal lights. So I just scrape on of the nub off and it worked like a charm. I was not using the turn signal much tho since it was Red. I think red front turn signals are illegal, lol.

Don't worry about it. When you install, put it in at about a 45degree angle, then the second one will slide right in.

I drilled down the side of the actual plastic piece it fits into to make a new place for the nub to sit.
