I have a aem cai and the mounting bracket, the one that's welded to the intake and mounts to the rubber bushing under the fuse box, snapped in half. now the only thing supporting the whole thing is the throttle body clamps and rubber. everything is just kind lose now... what the hell should i do, i don't think you could weld aluminum

have someone spot weld ya a bracket it could be worse, my intake has been rubbing against something and it has caused a HOLE in my intake tube.

thanx steven...hope it will hold. oh..one more question? i'm replaceing my air filter...do i have to get a filter with a long neck on it like the one it came with or can i get a shorter one. would it matter?

Why do you need to replace it? If it's dirty just clean it using the K&N Recharger Kit that includes the oil your filter needs. You can't just hose it off and expect it to work like it did when it was new.
If you need to buy a new filter because it was damaged, look into an AEM replacement filter. If you can't find one, there are many filters on the market. Find one that fits in your fender area nicely and one that fits on the tube. Apex-i has a filter that has a filtered hole on the top that reduces turbulance inside the filter cone.
