good job, now only if you have gotten gauges that read horizontally than vertically we'd be better off.

he got his LED's from team celica and for the turn signals, it was a matter of scratching off the green film on the back of the stock face and putting a blue source on the back of the stock face or the bulb or even both in his case to make it appear blue...he used a blue sharpie on the bulb and on the part we scraped off on the stock gauge face..

i did this to my wrx, scraped off green film, then put a blue condom over the bulb and they light up realllllll nice. i think the condoms are much nicer and told him he could switch it for a better effect whenever or see how it compares with his setup.

Tim's setup is awesome grin thumbsup thumbsup

i got mine at www.partsexpress.com [partsexpress.com]
search for lamp covers, there are two sizes, so get a few of each.
i used them on my wrx dash and wasn't too satisfied...
so i made everything red with transparent paint and imo, blue transparent paint will be more blue and brighter than the condoms.
you can get blue transparent paint from here.
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXVT57&P=7
this is the same kind i have, but in red and it worked awesome on my HVAC and radio.

Yeah thats what I did and the needle touches the gauge and gets stuck on the number plate when it gets above 4k on the tach.

Just thought if I removed the old gauge the needle would clear the face.

removing the old face is like taking off .1 of a milliter off..it won't make a difference
he installed his just fine and htey don't touch at all...
you have to install them right and make sure they are stuck down all the way.

I have the leds. Which ones did you replace to make the needles glow blue? I only have 9 left, so in this pic which ones are the most necessary for the needles to glow properly?

Thanks!

I put blue sharpie on it and it turned out awesome. And the only ones you need to do for the needles are the ones for the gauges, and nothing for the LCD.

Id say, going from left to right, do the first 9 and it should turn out fine. thumbsup

if you want your needles blue, then it's going to change the color of your gauges you know? you have to change the LED's marked with little yellow arrows in the pic.

no, recalibration on the celica is easy.
turn the key to ACC, then push the needle back on at the 0 position and then it's fine.

Yeah I just installed the same S7 gauges and was jus wondering if they all need to changed to blue to make the needles glow because I only have a few blue ones left.
But I think Tim answered it already. Thanks.

I could deff do the needles, the recalibration of the needles, and the turn signals w/o a problem. But the soldering I've never really been good at. But after this I have more confidence to do that part myself. And Id deff try it, I dont know if id succeed though.

The S7 Gauges look great. Your interior must look awesome at night. Your next interior mod should be a replacement A Pillar with spots for 2 gauges.
