it'll just recheck everything to make sure everything is ok...it will aslo reset some settings accordingly if they need to be.

just unplug your negative battery terminal for about 10 mins and then put it back on thumbsup

just to let you know...resetting your ecu does abolutely nothing harmful to your car.

if you WANTED to, you could reset your ecu every day (although pointless--just making a point that you could)...of course you'd have to reset your clock and your radio presetts back every time though spineyes thumbsup

Yes, it does nothing harmful...but I swear I feel a loss in power for at least the first day... It is rediculous.

I've read somewhere on the site that removing the EFI fuses in the fuseblock close to the drivers strut tower will reset the ECU without having to reset the radio preset or clock.

^^ hmmm, that's interesting. i wonder if anyone could verify?

either way it seems like the same amount of work...unplugging the negative terminal takes all of 10 seconds.
