1zz engines are very destructable. had my celi for 3 months, and then the engine quit. I treated the car nice and never ripped it up bad...but at 31,000 miles i needed a new engine. Luckily it was covered under warranty but they are definately destructable. I think the previous owner of the car ripped up my car and abused it.
Always remember....The Early Bird May Get The Worm, But The Second Mouse Gets The Cheese!
As long as their mostly highway miles, not in the city beating the shit out of the tranny and engine, you should be fine. Plus if you put 100k+ miles on it in city traffic I would be scared, I hate traffic longer than I have to be in it.
What can I say, Celica's are a real pleasure to drive.
I got my car in february 2004 ('00 GT w/84000 -a lot of miles already- )... at the begining I was like... "Hmmm... too many miles increase in$urance and decrease "pri$e" ... and forget about the engine!! OMG ... but I thought... WTF!! Life is just one!!! Enjoy it!!! So I put 14000 in 5 months!!!
