I'm just wondering, what are some of the best and cheapest Performance enhancing mods that can be done to a CELICA GT 2004 WITH AN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION?

touched it in person, was at the autorama here in sacramento, CA... they had to extend the car about 1/2 times to fit the engine, then even then it melted half the back bumper, sweet though

CO2 is cheaper than nitrous oxide. You can get this system which uses CO2 to chill your Intake air, even colder than a cold air Intake, creating more hp. Don't run both the CO2 system and NO2 as you'll probably run very lean. No one to my knowledge on this site has tried this CO2 system, so you might need a fuel computer like SAFC-II to compensate for the much colder air. Other than that, you should be ok. http://www.subarustore.com/deicry02taan.htmlThe easiest mod to install and one which you will definitely feel a dramatic difference is 15" lightweight rims weighing about 9-12 lbs. I'm guessing you have the stock 22 lb rims on right now, so you'll like this upgrade. Rota subzeros cost around $500 for 4, and the best: Volk TE-37 or SSR Competitions will cost around $1200 but weigh around 10 and 9 lbs respectively.

you'll have to buy an aftermarket Intake to use with the above CO2 system btw. A short ram Intake will be fine since it will be getting cold air from the system.

^^ the stock mcpherson struts & springs are decent...with only adding the basic power mods these will serve you well unless you autox your car or do autox-style racing of course, most people buy aftermarket (stiffer) lowering springs more for the look than the handling...although lowering your center of gravity helps a ton when cornering

Manual conversion - about $300, right? thats a start Sway bars, lower it. Remove some weight from the car. Less it weighs, faster it will go. Don't use back seat, pull it out. Swap hood for Carbon Fiber. Change headers. New pulleys.
