How hard would it be to add squirters to the headlights like a lot of cars. Or like some crazed people add them to squirt your rims haha ??? but serious on the headlights??

^^most top of the line vehicles and many mid-luxury vehicles are now coming equipped with headlight sprayers. this is to 'clean' them from bug splatter and mud that is thrown on them by other vehicles which are in front.

heplful? slightly
essential? definately not.

my own, personal, opinoion is that it is more of a 'cool' feature rather than one that is needed.

to answer the original question: i doubt it would be hard. since you would probably want to keep your front and rear sprayers you would need a smaller diamter hose to replace the hose that is currently used. a hose with the diameter half the size would probably work best (you would obviously want to keep the velocity close to its current flow of water so if you were going to double the amount of sprayers you would want to half the tubing).

you could probably use a plumbing y-splice on the main hose to accomplish this and just stick to the sides as much as possible...don't ask where it would come out though...i would assume you'd need to do some cutting but maybe not...the tip of the sprayer for the headlights would have to be thin

Think of the nice trail of mud (or just general bug $hit) as you spray the lights and it runs down the side of your fenders & hood. Pretty.

Squirt the rims? Are you serious?

That sounds almost as retarded as remote control spinning rims you can control with the car off.

Or you could position them to squirt other cars infront, behind, or to the side of you. Especially if their windows are down. rofl rofl

Here's my guess:

1. You could get another washer motor
2. then wire it into the inside cabing through the firewall hole under the front left driverside wheel well which is covered with a rubber gromlet with a switch
3. drill holes where you'd like to mount the new nozzles
4. mount the nozzles
5. if you'd want a more waterproof seal apply high temp silicon underneath to keep a clean appearance
6. keep us posted if you do it thumbsup good luck

The problem with our headlights is that they are SOOOO angled. Whereas a beemer are a bit more verticle.

See... cuuuuuuurvy.

yeah, like spraying the hot chick in the crosswalk in front of your car. grin

Can't you just turn the windshield washer sprayers to face front?...I don't use mine anyways...

If you are going to basically use the lights as an accessory light for show, why not remove the scoop, remove the black part of the scoop, mount them as far back as you can inside the scoop, then you will get light from there. It won't block the airflow like a neon tube will. Won't spray water, but having them on top of the scoop won't be any good for spraying water anyway. Plus the stock ones will still be there.

i think doing so you really would lose pressure unless you could upgrade the motorized pump.

Easier yes but more effective in terms of pressure probably not happywink

I would think that there is one pump for our celica for the front and rear and possibly another device for the rear which is then activated by the switch on the wipers for the rear.

Place for parts you could check your local automotive store as I seen some in the wiper blade section towards the bottom. If you could find out what activates the rear squirter then I'd think you'd be set. I'll check under my hood right now if theres anything else I can add for you happywink

nope sorry couldn't really see much under the hood frown

you may want to browse through https://celicahobby.com/tech/index.html

but I couldn't really find anything that could help you. If you could go to the parts department of toyota they could probably help you locate what part is used to activate the rear squirter ...which you could then retrofit to suit your needs for a headlight one thumbsup
