is it really easy to get water in your cold air Intake? I ordered a short-ram Intake so i would not have to worry about it but then they sent me the wrong one, so i have a CAI instead. Im not going to bother sending it back and waiting for the short ram so i was just wondering how easy it is to get water in the Intake and ruin your engine.

nothing will happen unless the Intake is totally submerged.

ignore tooekneee;

be careful in the rain, dont drive behind trucks that splash a lot, etc etc; it's totally possible; and very easy, to hydrolock without the Intake being submerged.

I wouldn't be so sure. People with short horns have sucked water in too.

i know the short ram makes it less likely, thats why i tried to order one. But the guy messed up and sent me a CAI so i am just going to use that instead. Guess ill just take the advice and avoid the puddles until i get a bypass valve or somethin

and keep your RPMS low in the rain. More RPMS = more vacuum pressure per second.

short ram is less likely- but it can happen!
