I was just wondering.

Instead of purchasing a black Toyota Emblem for $20 bucks, is it possible for me to paint the front Toyota Emblem?

Also, how about the GTS sign in the back? Can I paint that also?

If I was to take off the Emblem, what do I use to put it back on?

Thanks

Anything is possible just prep it good and reinstall them with 3M double sided tape

How does one prep it good?

Home Depot is the place to go for some 3M double sided tape? There are none where it is like a stick of glue kind of thing made by 3M instead of a double sided tape?

like anything..sand it and then primer it (spray primer works well with small objects).

the good thing about primer is it sticks to just about anything...and paint will always stick to primer thumbsup

I can get all of this stuff from Home Depot right?

I was thinking of painting my Emblem black, so I was just thinking about taking of the whole upper grill. Keep the Emblem on it because I heard taking it off is a beotch...

Sand the Emblem, primer it, and just use a spray paint. Since I am painting it black, it would not have to worry much about the grill.

What kind of sand paper am I using? There are different grids and etc.

Yeah, thanks Isaac, I saw that after posting.

I will try and see what it will look like if I just paint the whole emblem while attached to the grill. As for the back logo, I got something retro for that one. Hopefully I will be able to purchase it in a week...crossing my fingers...

Make sure you clean it well, and sanding never hurts.

^There's a special plastic primer made by Rustoleum (though other companies make a similar product). Worked for me wink

I painted my front badge black. I took it out with no problems, it just took me a lil longer than the rear badge.
As soon as I get some time now, I will paint my extra gts badge black, and add it to a new front grill, to put on as soon as I get my BK installed
